Army Corps of Engineers says dissolved oxygen injection system successful

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – The Army Corps of Engineers says the dissolved oxygen system in the Savannah River has passed another major test.

The system is important for lessening the environmental impact the Savannah Harbor Expansion Project will have on marine life in the river.

The City of San Diego installs a large Speece Cone system by ECO2 to dissolve pure oxygen at the bottom of Lake Hodges. The system will continuously inject dissolved oxygen into the reservoir which will improve the water quality in the lake, reduce algal blooms, and improve efficiency at the drinking water treatment plant.
